this book is really great and i recommend the shit out of it!

I love the eeaao crew but i feel like hollywood only takes on asian actors ONCE theyre proven theybhave an audience eg simu/akwardfina (unfortunately)

I would love to see the success of asian access spreading to newbies or others who havent been able to get some shine

this show was cast and started filming before eeaao even came out, so arguably the only proven star at the time was michelle yeoh

dont even need to look at simu/awkwafina cuz Ke only started getting cast after EEAAO hype/awards. the story he told of getting rejected for every job after filming EEAAO to the point he lost his health insurance during the peak of the pandemic. sadness :(

yeah there seems to be a lot of casting from ‘crazy rich asians’ , which is okay but it would be nice to see some newbies.
