I doubt Michelle Yeoh's even gotten any sleep yet but we're already looking to the next Oscar race. I did last year's and some were on the mark (EEAAO, Elvis, The Fabelmans, and The Whale for noms/wins), but woof so so many

You could say that about most of the historical fashion wins and most of the wins in general. Originality is actual rare if we really look at it...even Black Panther winning is based of various African fashion. That's probably the most original~ in recent years

There’s a difference between being inspired by a time period/culture and being a carbon copy though, like these outfits are straight copied from the dolls fashions from what I can tell from the trailer. Which is cool and I love it and I can’t wait, but Oscar worthy? Ehhhh I don’t think so

Second the reading the book part, it's amazing. I wish Scorsese had cast unknown actors for the white characters, since I get the feeling that Dicaprio and De Niro's characters will be given more importance than the Native American characters although this story is about them. But Scorsese is gonna do Scorsese and cast the same old actors he always casts
