when Community first was on, I saw someone state - possibly even on ONTD! - that Donald Glover was Danny Glover’s son and I took that as fact and never bothered verifying for years. Thought he was a nepo baby!

Almost any time two actors share the same surname I just assume they're related.

- I thought Rita Ora was black (or at least part black) for a long time

Oh, we all thought that. Ms Ora was quite happy to cultivate that belief iirc

- Kendrick being short makes so much sense. I don't trust short men.
- Girl, everybody thought Rita was Black, even she did.

When I was a kid (Mexican American), for the longest of time, I thought Marco Antonio Solis from Los Bukis was JESUS. I was so confused for the longest because I was like, "IF THIS MAN DIED ON THE CROSS FOR OUR SINS, WHY IS HE MAKING MUSIC AND RELEASING ALL THESE CD'S?!" People laugh at my ass for this, BUT HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW!

EDIT: Actually, don't answer my rhetorical question. I went to Catholic school my whole life. I SHOULD have known.

Kid logic is another level like adults really don’t get how kids can be at once so much smarter and so, so, so much dumber than anyone realizes

lol I almost made the comment that I grew up Catholic and when I prayed as a kid, the God I pictured in my head was just one of the priests at my church. In fact even now, as an adult atheist, he’s still more or less the stand-in for an abstract idea of God lol. Haven’t seen the man in at least 15 years

I don't know why, but for years I thought Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins were cousins and that's how Phil replaced the original drummer in Genesis. Turns out they're not related at all.

More recently, I had no idea Frances O'Connor is Australian and always thought she was British [she was born in England, but has lived down under since she was 2 years old].

There's a few Aussies that kind of "pass" as British, like Geoffrey Rush.

Yeah like we know Nicole Kidman is Australian but she also has this very patrician English vibe sometimes.
