Should Win: “Marcel the Shell with Shoes On”

lmao GO HOME.

Should have been here: “Wendell and Wild” (Netflix) - Henry Selick, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Jordan Peele

True!

Did you see Marcel? It seems to be getting nominations. I don't know anyone who's seen it, so I don't know if good or not.

KERRY CONDON? Stop. She was not even a standout in that movie. And agreed that Stephanie Hsu deserves it over Jamie and Kerry, but Angela? Ehhhh. Maybe.

Also Tár was so boring oh my god

This was such a confusing list at first cuz it looks like they didn’t love EEAAO and then they go and throw in Stephanie for SA. But Angela deserves to win here, I agree. Stephanie is my #2

I thought they were going 100% for Tar but they also chose Michelle over Cate so idk.

Ruth E. Carter behind “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” who won the
Oscar for the first entry, is a possibility for her stunning thread
creations. If she wins, she’ll be the first Black woman to win more than
one statuette in any category.

Wowwwww

I feel like there's a surge of support for Kerry and Marcel, and the former I don't mind, but the latter is possibly the least impactful, almost worst, movie I saw last year.

The chaos and no clear front-runner has benefited her. Apparently she was the one who was winning most of the critics circles before the big awards started.

A lot of people are saying she might parallel Mark Rylance and Tilda Swinton's Oscar wins cause all 3 have a chaotic awards seasons and all 3 won Bafta.

Personally I'm rooting for her but her biggest obstacle is JLC.

Plus, a lot of people who like The Banshees of Inisherin will vote for her in hopes of honoring the film in some way because they figure that it won't win in other categories.

I'm pulling for Angela though.

"Could Win: “Top Gun: Maverick” 🤨 Why do people still think this?? Titanic is probably the only HUGE box office winner to win BP but I will admit the plot was stronger than Top Gun.

Best Director is the Daniels, but maybe Todd Field is a dark horse.

"Supporting Actress:
Will Win: Kerry Condon, “The Banshees of Inisherin” HOPEFULLY 🤞🏼
Could Win: Jamie Lee Curtis, “Everything Everywhere All at Once” FUCK THIS 👎🏼🚫🙅🏻‍♀️✋🏼
Should Win: Stephanie Hsu, “Everything Everywhere All at Once” Personally I want Kerry but Stephanie should've been the only supporting nomination and potential win for EEAAO!! So I wouldn't be too mad if she won ❤️

Titanic was a different time and a different type of award-winning blockbuster…like Braveheart, Forrest Gump etc. Top Gun was fun, but just an action film

Yeah I agree, I forgot about the others ones. But again they better written plots too which as much I enjoyed Top Gun...the plot was very simple and relies a lot on the previous film.
