tbh I think it would have been better if [spoilers for the first film]the Pikachu wasn't his dad. They could have a whole "and the adventure continues" angle ala the TV show.

As long as Justice gets to come back! It meant a lot to me to see a Black actor as the lead of the first Pokémon live action movie. My inner child felt so validated!

i've had a soft spot for him since watching the jurassic world extras where he wrote a song for the crew on his last day. also he has the same racial makeup as my best friend (jamaican dad and french-canadian mom, according to his imdb anyway).

i'm really excited for dungeons & dragons, even though his accent is bad lol. but regé-jean page is also in it and i wish ONTD was more hyped for these biracial kings!

I was blessed on seeing my top two fave pokemon (bulbasaur and gyarados) in the first film, but I would love to see Umbreon next.
