Way back in 2019, Detective Pikachu came out and was a moderate success, odd for the biggest franchise of all time.
Portlandia co-creator Jonathan Krisel is in negotiations to direct the Pokemon Detective Pikachu live action sequel based on the globally popular Pokémon franchise for Legendary entertainment.
The source mentions there's no idea if Ryan Reynolds is coming back -- Which would be hilarious, as he was the titular detective. They expect him to, there's just no word yet.
