Matthew Rhys explains the Welsh holiday St. David's Day and has a leek eating contest with Seth. He also discusses taking tourists out on his restored boat and making rarebit (cheese toast) for them.
The Americans was such a good show. Glad I took the time to watch it.
I'm off to Wales tomorrow and I honestly didn't realise welsh rarebit was cheese on toast lol I'm going with a vegan but I'm sure they won't mind me chomping down on the local delicacy
The first time I encountered the word "rarebit" was in a book. The main characters were British children and it was obvious from the context that rarebit was a food, so my brain just assumed that rarebit was either the kids mispronouncing "rabbit" or the phonetic pronunciation of kids with British accents pronouncing "rabbit." I was shocked to learn that it's cheese on toast!
this whole 15 minutes had me laughing so hard because it’s pure chaos between the leeks and the blowtorch. i also relate to seth every time he finds a way to bring up the americans to gush about how much he loved it.
I agree - the whole interview was hilarious and entertaining! I considered not submitting it since there were no shocking revelations about anything but it was just so cute (and it's always nice to see some different faces on ONTD).
he is always such a delight. i long for the day he gets to do full comedy because he's an excellent dramatic actor obviously but he's charming and funny and i need more projects to utilize it. he got to be funny on brothers and sisters but it's been a long time since that show.
Same, it was such an unexpected delight to see him camping up for the few minutes at the beginning of Cocaine Bear...would love to see him in a romantic comedy with Keri!

Love him so much, and his cameo at the beginning of Cocaine Bear was such a delight. The only flaw of the movie was not having enough of him.
