Very happy she had that option, exactly as it should be for every person with a uterus

i’m glad she had the option and i doubt it’ll open her eyes to her hypocrisy, but maybe it will for someone else

She did not have an abortion, this is ridiculous take just because it is the same medical procedure.

Sorry I’m confused. Can you please explain how it wasn’t an abortion but it’s the same medical procedure?

She was no longer pregnant. The procedure was her option to remove the dead tissue from her, vs. expelling it on her own or taking medication

it's unclear that she was no longer pregnant. it only says that the fetus didn't look good. and while that distinction shouldn't matter, in many states it does.

if D&C is banned some places, what do they do in the case of miscarriage that would traditionally require it?

D&C is not an illegal procedure

Three different things from whattoexpect.com

But sometimes - especially the later in the first trimester you are - a miscarriage isn’t complete, and parts of the pregnancy remain in the uterus (known as an incomplete miscarriage) that need to be removed.

Spoiler for TL;dr

It may be legal, bit many women report ERs and doctors refusing to perform the procedure for those who needs them. It's awful.

Yes and doctors afraid to use it, even in this case when there was no longer a pregnancy. He just performed the D&C, which is not just used for abortions for those who do not know that...

That’s very sad for her.
One of the many reasons I decided to be childfree is all the messed up shit that can happen to women during just the pregnancy. Imagine not being able to get an abortion and unwillingly being pregnant and then you get complications or a medical condition for the rest of your life.
