I'm seeing Titanic on Monday and I'm so excited since it'll be my first time seeing it in theatres!

Then the new Ant-Man on Thursday afternoon. I'm honestly not too excited about it, but meh, I always see them opening day and hopefully it will be better than I'm expecting.

my sister and i saw titanic during a re-release run and it was spectacular. truly a film made for the big screen in the purest sense.

I’m disappointed that Titanic is only in 3D. I was so excited about seeing it again, but with my glasses I don’t do well with 3D.

But my complaining aside, I hope you enjoy it!!!!

They're still playing puss in boots here at my 4 screen local theater so... Occasionally they show A24 movies but that's like 2x a year tops (we got X but not Pearl) so i have a feeling they're just gonna be playing knock at the cabin for weeks and antman on 2 screens. So I'll be staying home this weekend lol.

finally watched tár last night and loved it sooooooooooooo goddamn much like WOW. most kubrickian movie i've seen that wasn't directed by kubrick himself which makes sense given todd field is one of his disciples (non-derogatory). my favorite of the best picture nominees i've seen so far i think! it's burned into my brain like titane was a couple years back.

also recently watched a steve martin/carl reiner movie called the man with two brains, which i also adored aside from a few jokes that didn't land - it was exactly the type of zany goofy b-movie sendup that i love. my boyfriend and i have been yelling "INTO THE MUD, SCUM-QUEEN!" whenever the mood strikes us, so it's officially a household classic lol

Yeah, Tár is masterfully done, and would be my pick for Best PIcture, with Banshees as a close second.
