I feel bad about his past, but that does not negate what he did, and what is obviously an attempt at image rehab because he wants back into Hollywood instead of being a timeshare salesman in the Caymans. How much does anyone want to bet he saw how Ezra Miller's image rehab was going and decided he wanted to try, too?

He's definitely trying it.

Warning: graphic description of what he has been accused of

While Hammer has made peace with the fact that his career as an actor may be finished, he would still relish the opportunity to return. When I ask him if he takes inspiration from his mentor Robert Downey Jr., who was arrested multiple times in the late 1990s on drug charges and spent several spells in jail, his answer turns toward the mythological: “What I would say is this: There’s examples of people who went through really difficult times and experienced what [the author] Joseph Campbell would call ‘the hero’s death.’ And the hero must die so the hero can be reborn again ( ... )

Nobody ever says ‘believe men’ because we yell ‘believe victims’ til we’re blue in the face, and we oftentimes have to specify ‘believe women’ because men are almost ALWAYS believed over women already!! We called out Debt supporters for their silence when others like Anthony Rapp and Brendan Fraser came forward. Even now, I would never disbelieve the abuse he’s saying he experienced, I’m just not going to be manipulated into feeling sorry for him or participate in his rehabilitation when he as a grown ass man CHOSE to inflict so much hurt on others through sexual violence

Oh, you went for the source as well. My sentiment of 'who the fuck are they' still stands.

I believe he was a victim of child sex abuse. But I also believe that he became an abuser himself.

One thing does not negate the other.

It feels like he's trying to excuse he actions, as if he was fated to abuse people because of the abuse he suffered. And while the cycle of abuse is 100% real, it's also like... not every person who is abused as a child grows up to abuse others, you know?

I have sympathy for what he experienced when he was younger, it’s truly horrible. But that doesn’t make what he did ok or forgiven. He needs to stick with his therapy and stay gone.

what's that one gif of the old lady? 'you think I feel sorry for that bitch? I don't!'

That's a lie, I'm sorry that shit happened to him, but it's very Kevin Spacey of him.

yes, i am always understanding of people who do wild stuff because they're working their own shit out. even if it's bad stuff.

but there's still a line. and there are also many people who were similarly abused and didn't perpetuate cruelty.

i hope he accepts sympathy and gets better and then makes up for the bad shit he did
