I'm glad she seems to have softened her opinion, but she still comes off as victim blaming. Most men who take advantage of women are known to the victim. They are coworkers and friends who you are supposed to be able to trust.

This feels a little like when girls say they get along better with guys then they reach 35 and they realize they have no friends. She's probably realizing those feminists she threw under the bus in favor of defending men were the only ones left who actually care about her. I hope she continues to grow and learn. I always liked her on Home Improvement. Did anyone on that show come out a good person? Tim Allen is the worst.

I feel like sometimes being ~one of the guys almost becomes its own survival technique. “If I’m cool and chill and friends with dudes they’ll protect me and won’t hurt me because I’m different.” That glass always shatters eventually though because men are animals.

Really good point. In immediate danger, that would go under fawn (fight flight freeze fawn) so it could definitely be applicable in day to day life when dealing with men. Especially given her history of being oversexualized right from the start of her career.
