Well there goes the goodwill she'd been building up for the past month or so.

To be fair, the 'third wave feminism is boring' quote is one of the old quotes she's now addressing saying she's changed her mind on that. It's a shit quote, but at least she recognizes she was wrong.

Well, I hope she enjoyed her brief tenure as ONTD’s highly favored - because it’s all over now.

Just bc you chose to do something probably less than smart/safe….doesn’t mean you are at fault for being (sexually)assaulted!

Exactly. If I go home with a dude and then decide halfway through I want to leave, and he decides he doesn't want to hang out with me again, that would be fine. Hell, if he wanted to tell his best friend that I'm flaky, it's immature, but okay.

If he were to assault me? That's like punching someone for not laughing at your joke. The reaction is way too severe for the action.

Or if you meet someone in the hotel
Room….smart , probably not- do you deserve to be (redacted) and/or is it your fault? NOOOOOOOOOOOO…
The other person could chose not to do it and there- then it wouldn’t be done.

I was arguing with my mom about the Louis CK thing, where she was like "when a man invites you to his room, what do you expect?"

I had to explain to her that celebrities generally get suites that are more like homes than bedrooms and it's common to hang out there instead of a crowded hotel bar, especially if you want to talk about an upcoming project that the general public shouldn't know about that. The two women were in the same business as Louis CK (comedy) so they probably thought he had jobs for them.

Just because somebody comes with you to your hotel room doesn't mean you get to do whatever you want to them, anyway. Or maybe you get scared and change your mind. But I could honestly see why those two women went with him, especially since he spent years cultivating the image of respecting women.

So if a friend robbed her house, would that be partially her fault for letting someone know where she lived? If her spouse beat the shit out of her, would that be partially her fault for not doing exactly everything he said?

It's kind of crazy how when other crimes happen to people we immediately take the side of the victim, but the instant it's a sex crime, all of a sudden people want to play devil's advocate. You're still advocating for the devil, you idiots.
