Just checking in to say I was a NYC theater photographer during the Spring Awakening days and the way people WARNED ME about Lea. The other photographers, the press people, everyone was like "you're new so just a heads up... AVOID LEA MICHELE"
i saw the into the woods revival right before it closed and every single person in that cast (live!) had a beautiful and expertly trained voice, great musicality, amazing dramatic expression and comic timing with both singing and acting… like sorry i do not see the exceptionality of her talent! she has a narrative and a brand that other broadway singers don’t, not some superhuman talent.
presuming it's true, why is she such a mean person, :/ sheesh and not even just that but how can someone be that unprofessional in their career. being late?? causing money issues? could never be me
I’m assuming this is about the mayor and she wasn’t even the star of the show. Like she was in the main cast but the show was about Brandon Michael Hall becoming mayor. Her roles was easily replaceable so her ego is beyond lol
Wasn't she a Broadway kid? She seems like one of those awful stage kids who are raised to think they're big stars and after spending formative years with people enabling them & acting like they're God's gift to art, their personalities develop into something completely abhorrent.
I have a couple of actor colleagues (one a musician, the other an actress) who are raising their daughter to be an artist, they already have the kid performing on stage with them & record supposedly funny videos of her being a diva, and I swear that kid (who's like 5) already comes across as an absolute brat. There's very little chance she won't be a fucking nightmare at this point.
She'll eventually grow out of the cutesy putesy stage but still have the bad attitude and diva antics. I don't know why those types of parents do that crap to their kids. I saw it all the time when I taught dance and unf had to work for a few beauty pageants. I always left those venues so grateful I didn't have kids.

Pure desperation. The show was on the verge of closing.
They needed a big name and quickly to drum up intrest. And it worked. She saved the show.
For that particular show I don’t know if anyone else had ‘the story’ to do that. And she has smashed it out of the park.
