Just checking in to say I was a NYC theater photographer during the Spring Awakening days and the way people WARNED ME about Lea. The other photographers, the press people, everyone was like "you're new so just a heads up... AVOID LEA MICHELE"

In your opinion, how was she able to get the role in Funny Girl if she's so difficult? I'm assuming they could have just gotten someone else.

Pure desperation. The show was on the verge of closing.

They needed a big name and quickly to drum up intrest. And it worked. She saved the show.

For that particular show I don’t know if anyone else had ‘the story’ to do that. And she has smashed it out of the park.

Money and connections. The show was going to close. They made a massive error hiring Beanie and they wanted their money back. I think Ryan Murphy vouched for her and they were desperate.
