ironically, i think it’s much more similar to harley quinn than mindy’s show is, despite being developed for kids - as in, not everyone’s character falls neatly into the tropes you expect, but it’s entertaining and funny enough to still work. the only issues i had were with where they took velma’s romantic subplots in early episodes, and they seemed to listen to fan response because the way they improved upon that was better than i’d expect for any show of the early 2010s, let alone one produced for kids. i think they were pushing as many boundaries as they could for underserved representation at the time and shows like steven universe, she-ra, etc took that baton and ran with it

(also, if you told me before this show that its fred would be my hands down favorite, i’d have never believed it lol)
