I only watched E1 because I’m watching it along with my work bestie and he’s on vacation until the 4th, then on the 7th I go on vacation and will only come back two weeks later. So I’ll only finish it at the end of the month lol.

I hated the flipflops. Especially in the king of clubs game. I was excited when she was in tennis shoes later on lol

I really loved it, but [Spoiler (click to open)]I wish there were more episodes and it was split into 2 seasons. The pacing was definitely one of the weak points of season 2, imo! Like we spent a full 2 episodes basically with the King of Clubs game and then zoomed through a montage of face card games in ep 7.

In addition to being entertaining, the games are a way to get to know who the characters are better. So like, idk. I wish we'd been able to use those games to get to know some of the secondary characters who didn't feel very fleshed out, like the high schooler or the con man from the prison game. Then the final scenes would have had more emotional impact.

Also ending the show on the joker card was so lame, lmao. Like it was so unnecessary to have a final "ooooh what if this is fake tooooo?" moment. Just let the ending be the ending!

I agree it could have easily been split in to two seasons but knowing how Netflix is I'm thinking they assumed they'd get cancelled so went all out.

I do wonder if they just say "fuck it" and expand outside the Manga or do one of the spinoffs, especially its big success and Squid Game fans coming over to bump up the streaming numbers.
