I really do love this album!! I just said I don't have a strong AOTY, but if I was forced to pick, it might have to be this one.

The Loneliest Time - Carly Rae Jepsen
Renaissance - Beyoncé
Muna- Muna
The Hardest Part- Noah Cyrus
Humble Quest - Maren Morris

It's not that I never listen to men, but I always gravitate more towards the music made by women. And this was a great year for women in music.

like why would you do this when the girls are champing at the goddamn bit and also, I'm the girls? Did you want to get (rightfully) dragged?

I enjoyed Wet Leg's album a lot, but that placement is way higher than I would have expected! It's a solid debut with some incredibly catchy songs, but there are some skips, too.

Many of my faves for the year are on that list - Angel Olsen, Charli XCX, Florence and the Machine, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and The Weeknd. Idk if I have an album of the year, tbh, but ones I would add are SZA, Syd, Father John Misty and Daniel Rossen.

Just started listening to the Sudan Archives album after I saw she was opening for Caroline Polachek, and I already love a few of the songs. Weyes Blood is also a newer discovery for me, and I am enjoying her album as well. Will have to give the Alvvays album a listen, and The Smile's album another shot - nothing really jumped out at me when it was first released.

I listened to a couple songs but it didn't grab me - I'll have to try again at some point!
