HBO Max has cancelled Minx, which was renewed for a second season back in May, and will be removing season 1 of the show from the platform. The cast and crew had nearly completed filming season 2 when they received the news. Lionsgate

This is such a good, underrated show!! I really hope someone picks it up. 😭

It’s scary that shows/movies aren’t safe even after they have been renewed, but the fact that they’re getting rid of shit that is already filming or has already been filmed is especially fucked.

God help them if they cancel Our Flag Means Death mid-filming, the internet will riot. I really hope the plan this season as the end of an arc and wrap things up.

I don't think that means its safe (on hbo max at least) given Zaslav seemingly hating the stuff he does. Women-focused, genre, and romance seems like stuff he hates.

I’ve stopped becoming invested in streamer originals because the renewal decisions are unhinged

YES I miss those days when Netflix released like 1 or 2 Originals in a month or less but could expect it to be coming back. Now it’s worse than regular network tv. At least there you can kind of anticipate it based on ratings
