HBO Max has cancelled Minx, which was renewed for a second season back in May, and will be removing season 1 of the show from the platform. The cast and crew had nearly completed filming season 2 when they received the news. Lionsgate Television, which produces the show, is planning to shop the series to other streamers.

Shortly after the news broke, Minx showrunner Ellen Rapoport tweeted that "several other shows yet to be announced" will be removed from HBO Max.

I am obviously disappointed that Minx (along with several other shows yet to be announced) is leaving HBO Max. I’m proud of the show we’ve made and am confident that the audience will come with us to our new home. Thank you to the best cast and crew in the business. #minxonmax

Update: HBO Max has now also cancelled Love Life and announced they are removing Westworld and The Nevers from the platform. The Nevers was previously renewed for more episodes and this is its effective cancellation. Gordita Chronicles, which was cancelled in the summer, will be leaving the streamer on December 19th.
