Marcel the Shell,really? Huh, okay. It wasn't my favorite thing but it was twee enough for film festivals. tbh It was probably my least favorite movie of the year, but it wasn't bad.

Keke seems like a big surprise looking at the Gold Derby Oscar predictions - she's currently 21st in the rankings, so that's quite interesting (to me, anyway). I would be pleased if she jumped up in the rankings and knocked a white lady down. I need Hong Chau and Stephanie Hsu to stay in the top 5, two AAPI women there would be fantastic

Because it was category fraud, LOL - she's a lead, and the predictions are that the Oscars won't look favorably on a lead in supporting since it's a weaker category.

Love so many of these picks, I think because I legit loved so many movies this year!! My faves of the year so far are Tár,Banshees of Inisherin, and The Fabelmans, so anything they pick up is great.

I haven't seen RRR yet, but people seem to fucking love it so I definitely feel compelled to check it out at some point. Also still need to see Marcel the Shell and All the Beauty and the Bloodshed.

I legit loved so many movies this year!!

I was listening to a trivia podcast episode recently that focused on 2022 movies and I was alarmed by how few I knew. I know I haven't been in a movie theater in years but that's no excuse for being so aloof on recent releases!

RRR was so good, my friends and i went and saw a three hour bollywood epic at the movies three weeks later because we were feeling the vibes so hard. it’s part of a trilogy too so now we’re committed lmao

I thought Cate was phenomenal but the film itself was only good, not great. The first 20-30 mins alone should rule it out for authentic best picture lower case and definitely Best Picture upper case
