Tár was good but I’m also not that crazy about it. Well-made full, well-directed, well-performed acted but I feel like the almost 3hr runtime does get to you.

Yes to Claudio Miranda for Top Gun!! All the aerial shots were amazing!!

I think Keke was good in Nope but not as great as everyone hyped her up to be in it. I did enjoy Daniel’s stoic cowboy performance.

Cinematography and Editing should be locks for TGM imo, they’ve both been winning most of their technical awards so far

I was going to wait until Top Gun hit streaming to watch it but Dad dragged me to see it for my birthday and I'm so glad he did because, man, such a beautiful looking film!

Hmm not really on the cancel culture cause that whole scene with the student comes back to bite her in the ass in the final act.

It didn't tho. It was portrayed as if she was unfairly treated and then gets some redemption arc in China. It wasn't critical of her, it was critical of cancel culture

She didn't get a redemption arc, though - [Spoiler (click to open)]her only career option was to conduct a click track-fed orchestra at a video game convention. She lost her wife, her child, her reputation, due to her actions, and even she realized that she fucked up when she went to get a massage and realized what it was.
