saw glass onion the other day with a packed crowd and wow netflix really fucked up by not giving it a proper long theatrical run. the trades aren't wrong when they say netflix lost a potential $100m by not doing it

Been waiting for this post because I want to see Close this weekend but it seems to be at ONE theater and it is not convenient. >:( What is up with Fandango lately??? It's been giving me wildly inaccurate listings.

I saw Eternal Daughter at NYFF and I loved it, but I feel like it's being mismarketed a bit? It's not a traditional ghost story by any means, it's sort of a personal family drama with a surprising amount of humor to it. But I guess the Hogg Squad knows to be open-minded with her stuff.

idk about Emancipation. Has Fuqua made a legit great movie other than Training Day? Let's be honest here. (And I say that as someone who was obsessed with his King Arthur back in 2004 lmao)

I personally liked The Guilty which is on Netflix, and stars Jake G. It’s a taut thriller, well acted, and a good storyline with unexpected turns. It’s not Training Day but it’s 74% 🍅 .
