did they cut carol from the daryl spin-off?

shows or not i feel like he is set just from how many cons he does. that must be super easy money that he'll be able to make his entire life. i envy it.

Melissa was supposed to be in it but she backed out because she didn't want to move to France to film it, and maybe for other personal reasons as well.

And yeah your right Norman goes to every single convention he can and he is paid a lot of money for going. He is set if he just does that every single year and does nothing else.

france? that sounds random, is daryl going to an entirely different part of the states than he's been in this whole time? or maybe its not random, i havent watched the show in literal years so maybe they're in less southern-looking places now

Daryl is traveling all the way to France (like actually France, the country lol it's going to be set in France too), presumably to find Rick and Michonne. We don't know exactly how he gets there and what the context is. It's going to be explained in his spin-off.

Melissa McBride was my favorite when I watched, and I would like to see her in more things. She elevated a lot of the material.

God I hope Melissa McBride continues to get work in roles that are worthy of her talent after this. I was super bummed when she had to exit the spinoff because of shooting location foolishness, but I'd love to see her stretch her wings in other projects tbh. Hollywood needs to make more room/roles for women over the age of 40, goddammit!

PS- I think Tom Payne deserves an honorable mention for Prodigal Son, which was doing pretty great for two years until Fox decided to unjustly can it, like they do literally all shows that aren't procedurals. Also he's attached to some sort of upcoming Kevin Costner-produced Western in the next year, so that ain't half bad in the mind of this Jesus fangirl.

PPS- kudos on that exquisite choice of an Andrew Lincoln gif, OP!

Prodigal deserved a third season to wrap things up. I was so annoyed.

Right? To this day, it pisses me off every time I think about it. I'm still shocked that none of the streaming networks picked it up either.

Well considering that there are people in the fandom who still doubt that Rick even loves Michonne at all and that he is not dedicated to her (and is still seen as a "rebound"), it's best to cement that the opposite is actually the truth by giving her his last name, and because she still doesn't even have one in the show. And with Maggie she wanted to change her last name because she wanted to honor her late husband, which is understandable, especially with what he (and to a lesser extent she) went through.
