He really did a great job. I can see why they went with him.
All in all, I think he's been hysterically funny. I saw him on Broadway for How to Succeed musical and he was a goddamn joy. Not the best singer but it didn't matter. Good dancer. Kudos to him for putting in the work. I think that's one thing I really appreciate about him. He WORKS HARD.
All his comedies are funny. My fav is still him and Adam Driver in that What If comedy. They were so damn funny. Best scenes were those two together, they played off each other really well.
I am gonna watch this tomorrow blazed while pointedly staying away from any election returns, because people in this country (the US) are extraordinarily stupid.
A few years ago, I got tickets to see a show way in advance and later realized that it was on election night. I thought ooh, what a perfect distraction from staring at the screen dreading the results!
It was super fun to watch with an audience, sad it didn't get a theatrical run. We basically didn't stop laughing for the first 45 mins. The last 1/3 was less impressive, but overall I think it was super funny and I loved all of the cameos.
