That's how I feel about my health insurance.

The true crime drama featured many sex scenes, including one rather infamous rim job.

Well, this was not a sentence I was expecting to read in this post.

Because she’s not a regular actress, she’s a cool actress, right?

Yeah. Jean smart feels freaked out by intimacy coordinators too, she said it on Seth Meyers, bc she's uncomfortable with a third party kinda ruining the flow and she already knows her intimacy partners like Christopher macdonald well.

Do her partners in the scene get input? I know we're socialized to believe (based on this photo,) men are 100% going to go for sex and foreplay all the time, but it isn't the truth.

I'd like to think both actors are forgoing an IC because you're right, it would be bad to assume only a woman would be interested in potentially using their services.

And what about the crew? IC's are great because they're there for everyone on set. Actors are the most obvious people who could use them, but what if a crew member isn't comfortable? Hair and makeup? The idea that one person on set has the power to stop an IC from being present is pretty upsetting. I'm glad she's comfortable, but she's not the only one there!

"mejor que sobre, que que falte"

basically better to have a coordinator even if not needed than to not have one at all

It irks me that she feels the need to say this - so up and coming actresses may look at her and think, well she doesn’t need this, maybe I shouldn’t either.

She could have just said something neutral about the importance of having them available when needed, or she could have just said nothing.

But why isn't she allowed to say she didn't enjoy working with one and prefers not having one? Is there really only one opinion people are allowed to have on this? She's not saying they shouldn't exist or any gross stuff about needing to be "spontaneous".

Oh, stop. You’re just trying to start something and I can’t be arsed. You know why.

No, I don't know and I'm not sure how I should know. And I'm not trying to "start anything", I just think not being able to share different experiences of doing sex scenes in movie is not necessarily the optimal attitude for healthy work environment.

I can respect not being arsed, though.
