My sister’s best friend works at a long Covid facility and is studying the phenomenon…and it’s absolutely horrific. So many have suicidal thoughts and depression because they just aren’t getting any better

I wonder if that's why my thoughts are getting worse

I have something extremely similar to long Covid & as much as I hate when anyone is going through it too I’m so glad he’s being open about it.

So many people think Covid is no big deal but it’s a mass disabling event (yes, still!!) unlike anything else. It’s easy to forget how many people are affected because out of sight out of mind but it’s truly staggering numbers.

I hope he continues to make progress on his health journey

I had long covid october 2020 (initial covid infection July 2020, but covid symptoms returned in october 2020 when I went through an intense period of stress), pretty much through january of 2022. I began to recover in March of 2021, however, it took me until January of this year to call myself "healthy" again. It was the worst experience of my life. Days upon days I couldn't even walk down my apartment stairs cus I'd make myself sicker. Horrid. I'm glad more people are talking about this, because while I was fortunate to receive a lot of support, many do not understand how I suffered or think it was easy because it was invisible. Wouldn't wish it on anyone.

yep, I have an autoimmune condition with almost identical symptoms to long covid and it's just wild that people are so cavalier about something that could cause it.

This really sucks. And this is precisely why I haven't stopped masking

mfte. i'm the only one at my job who still masks. haven't gotten covid and aiming to keep it that way as long as possible. yeah i'm vaxxed (and will go back for the 3rd shot), but i'm not interested in finding out what the after effects are for me.

don't care that lots of people already have had it, don't care that everyone is acting like it's over.

anyone who has a problem with that is more than welcome to pay my uninsured medical bills and feast upon my ass.

I’ve had my 4th shot not long ago and so far so good. I’m also still wanting to use masks even if my government has allowed people to go without it.

That’s awful.

My parents both caught covid while visiting my (antivax) brother in the states. My dad still hadn’t really bounced back from his first bout of covid last summer.

I'm so scared of getting long COVID if I catch it
