yeah, i heard it had a huge opening.
i watched it through. i think evan did an ok job. i also watched my friend dahmer which i felt was a bit better.
i don't think murphy really did it justice but i will say i learned just a lil bit more about the victims than usual, towards the end/after the crimes, so that was good. but of course there was some dramatization going on, so some stuff wasn't accurate.

really sad story overall, and i don't think it really needed to be made tbh. just wait for the john gacy one.

Now that's just disgraceful, especially after families of the victims have spoken out against this show.

Imagine watching a show so focused on Black pain.
Everyone is trash.

i just don't get the true crime obsession

I can understand it to a certain extent but what I really don't get is the hunger people apparently have for watered down reenactments of stories that have been covered a million times already

I don’t either but everyone has an excuse about why they like it or why it’s okay or why it’s informative. Watching this isn’t all that different from the true crime podcasts so many people like. 🤷🏾‍♀️

People have been fascinated by murder and grisly crimes forever so, in that regard, I am not surprised. What I don't understand is people acting as though these are ~just stories~ and not the lives of actual people. At least in the 20s when people were fascinated by this shit they couldn't speak to the victims family on Facebook.
