what I don’t get is that his movies aren’t even good? they’re just wannabe Coen brothers/PTA knock off bullshit. yeah his movie got JLaw that Oscar but it was like flop city every year after that, why the hell would you want to keep working with this guy? bad writer, bad director, horrible and abusive on sets, a genuinely awful person outside of his work.

Tbf Harvey Weinstein campaigning/lobbying hard for Silver Lining Playbook is what got her that Oscar. Everyone kept saying that Harvey needed another hit cause his company wasn’t doing so good.

Makes sense cause nothing about that movie except maybe Bradley was awards worthy. It was a glorified lifetime movie.

Even American Hustle was DOR attempting to be Scorsese and flopping hard.
