The film, directed by David O. Russell curiously did not make a splashy festival premiere despite Russell's awards bait track record and having 15 names above the title

Even without knowing his past abuse on and off set, I saw his last 3 movies and hated them both. I just don't know how all these actors (couple of them woke) decided to work in this film, with this director and not see the backlash coming. Reminds me of the Woody Allen film with Timberlake and Winslet and the backlash they deservedly received.

Yikes @ Robbie doing films with DOR and Brad Pitt (again). Wonder if her people (which I definitely believe) won't allow interviewers and journalists to question about her doing all these movies with abusers.

Yeah I was feeling like a Woody Allen type backlash was finally coming. DOR has such a long history of abuse and not only of abusing the little people but full on getting physically and verbally abusive with his actors. It doesn't matter how big you are (George Clooney), how prestigious you are (Lily Tomlin) or if you've been on his good side before (Amy Adams).

I don't know why any of the people in the movie would sign up for this. None of them are hurting for work and there are so many great directors out there who don't pull this shit.

As long as you're bringing up Woody Allen, all this applies to KStew as well, and she's never been held accountable for her bullshit. She breezed through Cafe Society promo with her PR rep making sure she was never asked about working with Woody, after the one Variety interview where she said she did it because it would "be fruitful" for her and she lied about discussing the issue with Jesse Eisenberg, who said that discussion never happened.

She runs around claiming to be a feminist, yet she's infamous for sleeping with another woman's husband, and last time I checked, that's not how you show sisterhood.

But she plays Princess Diana with a whisper mumble accent, PRs her way into an Oscar nom and suddenly everyone has amnesia. 🙄
