I dont think I could not say anything if I was fully aware. It would start eating away at me knowing something like that whether it's my business or not.

I think she was looking around to see what else was an option.

Been thinking lately about the theory (don't know what else to call it) that women tend to mourn the relationship while they're still in it, before they effectively break up or are broken up with, for whatever reason, for better or for worse. This reminded me of that.

It also kind of aligns with that other theory that says men can sometimes throw around feelings of insecurity towards the relationship continuing, while still in it, and all the damage that creates to the other person, but once women say they're gone, they're truly gone.

I don't think Evangeline cheating on a potentially alcoholic person is the best thing to do, but it did made me think of how common it is for the women to try to search for a way out while still in the relationship. Sometimes it's messy like here, sometimes it's more guarded, like simply trying to get better emotionally to prepare for the grief, no third parties involved. Relationships are so complicated.

Certain English people when they move to hot "holiday" climates or destinations like Hawaii - they don't deal with it well. Their behaviour completely spirals for some reason and their drinking especially gets even worse.

This is not to defend her cheating btw - I always say that if you're unhappy just be honest and break up with them instead of going behind their back. Just an observation
