it's crazy how young she was. her episode in season 1 was insane and really uncomfortable :/

and i can't believe her husband is playing an elf in the new LOTR series and not her. she has the perfect elf-face.

I understand the argument that so many 'teens' on TV look way too old and it makes us accept a lot of the themes depicted without question (like teacher/student relationships) and skews our perception of teens.

But then on the other hand I'm like... we should shield real kids and teens from being put in uncomfortable positions, especially knowing the history of the film and TV industry.

So yeah having adult play teens makes sense, because the adults are at least... adults? When they are asked to play these things? Idk.

I never watched that series in full but I do remember being scandalized and I’m around the same age as the main cast.

I think the UK(and other European nations) should have their talk and reckoning regarding on-set behavior. Cause all loveeee acting like this is a Hollywood thing. Europe may be more lax than us in a lot of things but lax does not equal safety or respect…it equals more seeediness.

A 14 year old shouldn’t have been sexualized on that show.

I couldn’t remember what she did at 14 because I only watched the first two series and my memory placed her as a minor supporting character, so I googled. Oh yeah, THAT episode. Jfc.

I loved Skins so much, but I couldn’t get into Euphoria at all. It’s just extra dark for me.

That show is so good, especially the depiction of how struggling with self-acceptance is a process. It's not like Rae gets a boyfriend and becomes magically comfortable in her skin. Her issues carry over into her relationship which is painful and so true to life.

I was watching a repeat of it on Out TV once and they didn't have the original soundtrack and it just about ruined the show.
