OG MCU, yes but I don't think that's true of current MCU.

I mean most of the leads are still white. They have their diverse sidekicks yeah, but out of everything released since Endgame...5 of the 7 films had white leads.

i mean even counting the leads of color in terms of solo franchise films (black panther and shang-chi), we still haven't reached parity with white characters and characters of color and actors of color, so she's right in that context. like we have ms. marvel for iman vellani and the marvels diversifying, but teyonah parris isn't the lead (yet?), tessa thompson is supporting in thor, etc.

i mean, they've straight up whitewashed characters (the maximoff twins, the ancient one) and then there's a handful of characters who were white in the comics but should've been changed for the films (dr. starnge, iron fist), characters who were poc in ultimates but white in 616 (janet van dyne), legacy characters who were poc who they should've used (miles as spider-man instead of peter AGAIN)

there were rumors awhile ago that they were looking to cast young black actors for both magneto and prof x, which... for xavier, fine, but erik's entire backstory revolves around him being a holocaust survivor.
