All of that on top of him being aware of what Weinstein did and still working with him twice. The hubris of straight white cis men should be studied diligently.

The article says this is the incident that prompted Angelina to file for divorce.

There is a "naked hypocrisy" in Pitt producing the film about Weinstein and playing the hero, especially since this hypocrisy is never questioned directly to Pitt.

This is what drives me fucking nuts, how these toxic men are never flat out questioned, as if there's some sort of silent (or not so silent) agreement that forbids journalists and media people to ever bring up said subjects. Meanwhile folks have no problem about demanding answers from women and making them uncomfortable over situations they had no power over whatsoever.

Case in point: Spielberg never being asked about Ansel's casting while his female co-workers had to answer questions about that.

This exactly. You *know* Carey Mulligan will have to field these questions while Pitt will make himself unavailable. I loathe when men use the women around them as shields.

I don't think she will, actually. Some reviewers might mention this between parenthesis but this is how far as it will go.

Most of their peers won't care because most of Hollywood was complacent too so they can't call out Brad without looking at themselves.

But then again, I might be wrong since the movie is *literally* about Weinstein.
