Of course he does, but if his victim was able to get a protective order that means they had sufficient proof right?

Someone in the last post said PR has a heavy burden of evidence so it makes me believe the victim is definitely telling the truth (on top of just believing victims in general).

In my state is super easy to get an initial one but then there’s a hearing shortly after where it’s harder to keep it. That’s when you need evidence and such. An initial one here is just an application with an self made affidavit and then you have to pay to have it served or have someone who can vouch that they served it on the appropriate party. The court usually sets a hearing a few days later maybe a week and hears the merits of the order.

Don’t all abusers deny it? I’ve yet to hear of anyone, especially a famous person, just being like yep it’s all true! I’m a trash bag abuser. I expected him to and assumed he would issue a swift denial - so I’m not at all shocked and his denial doesn’t mean it’s not true.

exactly, and they're all worded the same, all that gumf about "true facts" and "he will be fully vindicated." its just standard procedure, it doesn't mean crap.

i love it when they say "this is my truth" yeah, ok. you're an abuser no matter what your truth is, mate.

Nah, son. In order to even get an order you have to show "just cause" so you did something.

i really hope the rumor of who the victim is is not true (or that it's not true, period, and that no victim exists! ay idk how to word it but i think u guys know what i mean). homophobes are salivating rn at this news. it's all horrible. i hope the victim has a good support system. :(

The source of the rumor seems to be one comment and they are a homophobe. I haven't looked too into it but I'm hoping that means it's not true.

Homophobes need to pull their heads in when there's so much DV in het relationships.

Another bit going around is that the victim is a blood relative of RM's husband. That at least is less outrageously homophobic than the original rumor.
