With a heavy heart, I report the Puerto Rico Police have confirmed on Saturday that a protection order has been filed against Ricky Martin. A complaint was filed under Law 54, which protects victims of domestic violence.

Because this is a case under Law 54, the Puerto Rico Police does not reveal the name of the petitioner.

The authorities also clarified that the petitioner went to court to request a protection order.

Ricky Martin has not responded to requests for comment, and it is unclear if the order may have to do with this recent report.

More information from here

• "The petitioning party demonstrated that there is a substantial possibility of immediate risk of abuse" claims the filing.

• They were together 7 months and separated 2 months ago (Ricky has been married since 2017 to artist Jwan Josef). Ricky allegedly "does not accept the separation. He calls him frequently. In addition, the petitioner has seen him hanging around his residence on at least 3 occasions. The petitioner fears for his safety,"

• Ricky must refrain from approaching, harassing, intimidating, threatening or in any other way interfering with the petitioning party. He also cannot make contact through phone, email or social media.

• The order was confirmed to have been sent to Dorado, where Ricky has residence.
