I want them to finally kill Homelander and move on to a new bad guy. He plays the asshole so damn well, I can barely sit through his scenes if that makes sense. He makes me too angry

i'm so fucking pissed that prime video fucking censors this show. and the stupidest parts. like, homelander's comments on the hijabi hero? literally, the dialogue gets silent. the first episode's first "what the fuck moment?" ? it gets blurred. i hate when government tries to decide what i, as a fucking adult, can see or cannot. urghhhhhh.

but fuck yeah, the show is SO GOOD.

i'm in turkey, they legally have to vet the episodes afaik due to some government fuck up. i am paying for this platform (it's VERY VERY cheap here but), i'm a goddamn adult, yet i cannot hear homelander saying "fucking muslim" because apparently ??????? idk ??????

heads and bodies explode in this show, sex scenes are okay, but at this point i don't think i'll even know if something gets cut. it's easier for me to watch it on prime (i'm watching it with my dad, so sailing on my pirate ship is the hard way) but it blows my mind.

Most of the men in this show are all awful. I feel so bad for Starlight and Kimiko and just want nice things for them.

They are awful but I like how the show doesn't try to excuse their behaviour and exposes what probably happens in real life in the corporate world / show business

what i love is that, i feel like he never claims to be a good man. he emphasises very often that he's literally not a good guy, but he'll do what's necessary to stop those supes. we're not seeing him agonising about the hard decisions he has to make etc, it's like "well, who gives a fuck, this needs to be done so we'll do it". i find that fascinating.

he's just like homelander, they both have one goal in mind, and they don't see people as people but as instruments to get what they want. but they hate each other, so there's that lol.

I began watching during quarantine because it seemed anti super heroes which is like not that common these days with the way sh movies draw a lot of $$ for corporations etc. So, despite the inital shock with all the gore, it's quite enjoyable if you also don't take it that seriously?? It's edgy and satirical to a point which doesn't bother me, that being said it's not perfect so i hope people also don't hold back talking about things like the constant murder of people of color To Prove A Point.

On another note... I've never seen anything Jensen has been in (which is legit 1 show lmao) and didn't have many expectations for his character besides him being homelander but from the 80s BUT he really impressed me?? Like just the way he uses his voice with like the old school intonation idk took me off guard lol, can't wait to know more of him.
