I've gone down this rabbit hole and I'm very confident this book was a rewritten rpf fic. the respective Jesse/Andrew characterizations sans the obvious physical changes are still... very similar lmaooo

honestly as I read this book I was SO SURE this started as Bucky/Captain America fanfic because of political animals. I mean it was clearly a fanfic turned a novel anyway and the characterization felt very much like Marvel fanon versions or something, plus Seb Stan playing a gay presidents son anyway.

I don’t know about the author’s orientation, but they were a guest on a podcast I listen to and they identify as non-binary.
