Capitol Records said Tuesday it would release Halsey’s song “So Good” on June 9, after the singer claimed on social media last week that the company was withholding the single until a “viral moment on TikTok” could be created involving it. That video ended up going viral, garnering 8.9 million views and becoming one of Halsey’s most-viewed TikToks.
It is not clear if this whole situation was genuine or
another made up TikTok stunt. Halsey denied these claims
on Twitter, saying they “told the truth” and had “nothing to hide.”
I didn’t expect so much conversation about this record, all I know is that I wanted you guys to hear it and now you can. So Good, song on June 9th and video the next day. Endy gave me my flowers 💐
