hmm..oddly Legends got way more press from the entertainment outlets on my twitter news stream than Batwoman. Obv I will miss Legends more even though both shows were going downhill. Batwoman pretty much fucked themselves after the S1 drama anyway. They should've given Legends at least a short final season. I'm miffed I won't see more Booster Gold but man I really hated they way the recast Matt Ryan's character after Constantine.

I'm shocked Legends didnt get a goodbye season after 7 years. It's very un-CW so the new kids in town (Discovery) must be cleaning house

Even though the trades were saying that the Arrowverse shows were heavily on the bubble, I genuinely didn't think they were in any danger. And then I stupidly assumed LoT was safe after Batwoman's cancellation was announced.

I fully expect Dynasty, Charmed, Naomi, and 4400 to be the next cancellations but wouldn't be surprised if all the remaining shows on the bubble are gone.

Same, I 100% believed both would get short final seasons. One thing that I came to at least appreciate about TheCW is that they allowed tenure shows to wrap up properly.

Batwoman and LoT were low rated shows by the CW's standards so them getting canceled doesn't really mean anything for the CW's future, they currently 2 other DC shows in the pipeline plus the ones that have already been renewed + the All-American franchise that is very popular

Legends was #7 in the ratings list for TheCW way ahead of Nancy Drew and Riverdale (that is currently the lowest rated series on the network....lowest, below Dynasty)

Those other low rated shows don’t get cancelled because they are CBS shows. I think the original agreement with WB and CBS is that they needed to have an equal amount of shows on the air. Since all of the WB properties are more popular and rarely ever cancelled, the shows CBS end up sticking around to keep the balance.

I don’t think self-consciously cheap and bad shows like these are on-trend anymore. I think because of streamers people want to think they’re watching something at least quality-adjacent. The saturation of comic book shit isn’t helping either.
