IDK if this is an unpopular opinion but why is proposing in front of the Eiffel Tower considered the ultimate gesture of romance for some people? It's just a superficial tourist attraction lmao. There's so many more romantic places out there to propose honestly.
People love these big ass romantic gestures. It's like proposing on NYE or someones birthday or Christmas. At the end of the day most humans are not super creative LOL
When one of my friends was planning to propose to his girlfriend, he talked to me about a bunch of ideas he had (I specifically remember one of the options was on a hot air balloon ride). He was leaning hard towards doing it on Thanksgiving and I was like NO, YOU PUNKASS.
I understand it a tiny bit more if your family members are scattered all over the country or the world and this holiday is the one time all year that everyone is together, but even then I still say no. Propose on another day and then you can celebrate it with your family when you gather for that holiday.
