that performance was not it

Same. It was just over produced, poorly sound mixed. I'm not against Megan contributing at all but I wish she had performed the part of the song she replaced.

MC aint never lied. such a huge song, major hit, #1... which is difficult to get. they're like ear candy so people want to hear the original arrangement. etc:

Lol the original arrangement! Says mimi who made me wait till the caution tour to hear the original ending of Hero live. Bc at some point past rainbow she stopped the og and did “in you and you and you and you and….”. And I’ve seen her like 150 times.
And I’m like can you finish the song correctly Mariah

I’m playing. whatever Mariah says go

This guy suggests Rock’s bit was part of the presenter rehearsal the day before and that Will was there to hear it

Whatisthetruth

Someone who works for the Oscars told me that Chris Rock was not interrupted by Will Smith at rehearsals yesterday. It was not supposed to happen. It was real. #Oscars

one of the replies gives a diff interpretation of what this tweet means cuz it could be read both ways. saying it wasnt a rehearsed bit cuz will smith wasnt there during that rehearsals to interrupt. cuz why would he be in rehearsals for chris rock practicing his presenter bit? what would will be rehearsing? hence him not being at rehearsals means it was a real reaction, not staged.

No? What he’s saying is that the part with Will was not staged, as it was not part of the rehearsals. This was last night at 11pm so around the time when some people still thought it was a bit.

So yeah the fact he had libbed that just so he could get another dig in at Jada (did anyone see the deranged ig comment he left her awhile ago? I think it was in the cnn article).. any sympathy I would have had evaporated

what was the comment?

momsapplelie March 28 2022, 22:09:09 UTC
I can't remember the exact wording but Will left a comment saying Happy Birthday to his ex wife and Rock left a reply implying Jada was a bad wife if he was allowed to talk to his ex.

He has been digging at her for YEARS

The slap really was a gift to the producers because it’s taking up all the discussion and it’s becoming an afterthought on how bad the show actually was. And how dumping the 8 categories from the main broadcast worked out even worse then everyone was anticipating. I couldn’t believe how they cut in shots of actors clapping and reacting to the pre recorded footage like it was live happening in the room. When anyone with access to social media saw the winners immediately when they first were announced and knew the majority of actors were still on the red carpet. And according to people actually in the room, they were done giving out the awards around 635. So this three hour and 40 some minute broadcast couldn’t find 35 minutes to give to honor these hardworking people they way they deserve with the rest of the big names?? Just so disrespectful. And really robbed Dune, a POPULAR MOVIE of a night of a big celebration! All around 🤡

Apparently the ratings were up 35 percent so, this is probably how they'll do it from now on.
