I believe it’s the director or someone on their team calling the actual camera shots, while the network had its own team monitoring the feed for censoring

I think it just seemed like he was finished speaking over and over. it wasn't the 'hurry it up' music it was the 'thanks for your speech' music, the orchestra just kept thinking he was done and he wasn't.

Idk, it seems clear to me, he was trying to word his thoughts, especially since he opted to do his speech in English instead of using his translator. I don't blame the band since they probably couldn’t see him, but after the first time, someone in charge probably should have thought let’s give him a second before we move on. Though Idk why I’m expecting cultural sensitivity from the Oscars

On the Academy press site, they have the transcripts of winners' speeches. For the 8 awards presented during the pre-show, the transcripts are not the speeches that were given, but the edited versions that were aired.

That sucks! Someone posted in an earlier post the guy who one for editing I think. He had the funniest speech about his teenager using "Oscar nominee" as an insult and he was glad he got upgraded with an Oscar so she'd stop using it against him.
