I have decided I won’t buy any new make up until I run out of the things I have. I have two Mac pro longwear concealers (winter and summer shade) that I am currently trying to use up but I really really hate them. They’re so fucking dry and just sit in my crease. But I can’t bring myself to throw them away because they were so pricey :(
I got a sample of the Estee Lauder Perfectionist Pro Serum Rapid Firm + Lift Treatment with Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 (...👀) and have been using it for about a week and it feel like something but I'm assuming it costs a ton of money so I doubt I'll actually buy it.
I did get the Loreal Cell Renew Midnight Serum 'cause I'm guessing it's a dupe for the EL classic (based on the packaging) and the Revitalift 5% Pure Glycolic Acid Peeling Toner just for shits and giggles to use at night, but haven't tried it yet.
and since edits look so ugly: just found out my sunscreen of choice (LRP Age Perfect) got discontinued after just one year on the market so I wonder what happened there.
It’s kinda cool she seemed to start without makeup on since I feel like most of the time the person already has makeup on even as they wash their face. Of course, I don’t blame people for wanting to wear some makeup as opposed to going totally barefaced for the world
I'm really struggling to find an affordable, cruelty-free sunscreen that isn't too greasy and doesn't break me out AND is available in my country, or at least in the EU. I think I'll try one of those baby sunscreens next, though.
Also, has anyone here used adapalene (Differin or some other brand)? I'm interested in trying it but it's prescription only here and Idk if a doctor would prescribe it to me because my acne isn't even particularly bad, I just want to try it for the possible ~anti-aging~ benefits and to see if it could undo some sun damage.
I used Differin for quite some time before switching to The Ordinary Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion. If that's available in your country I highly recommend it. It applies more gently than Differin (my mom has sensitive skin and it works for her) and the emulsion works faster on active breakouts.
I think Vitamin C works better for reversing sun damage though
