Now I'm wondering how someone gets that job.

Production assistant or assistant director who interns unofficially under a few big deals who pioneered the concept. Just spitballing.

I think there are certification programs, sort of like how fight coordinators are certified? But since intimacy coordinator is a newer job, I'm not sure how much of a requirement it is.

Programs can take 3 to 15 months and cost around 15,000 to complete. The theater has had them for decades. This article really shows the history.

Does Euphoria have anyone in this role? Does it have 4 of these people? Do intimacy coordinators cover all nudity, even if it’s just one person getting naked? Why did Outlander wait so long?

I believe all HBO shows have them since the last season of The Deuce brought one on.

HBO and HBO Max are discrete, right?

Just now in season six? After all the sex scenes and assault scenes? Those poor actors.

That’s what hit me about it - the amount of sex on this show and it’s taken them this long?

They have no plan on ending that I know of. They are trying to adapt all of the books.

I stopped watching this show after dude spanked his wife in the first season but if the actors dont feel comfortable, the sex scenes are probably too much. If the show is good they dont have to show all that.

That's when I stopped watching it too because I heard that based on the books it would just get worse and worse. :( I watch the intro from time to time which makes me want to try the show again but then I remember that.
