I've been trying to work my way through the Oscars BP noms and hopefully also tackle some of the actress nominees before Oscar weekend.

I'm still have to watch Belfast, Licorice Pizza, Nightmare Alley and Drive My Car of the BP ones. I started Drive My Car but then realised it was three hours long and I'd already watched King Richard and CODA that day, so I gave up lmao. I shall try again another day! Just need to be mentally prepared to watch a three hour movie. I also really want to watch The Worst Person in the World since it's from my country

the struggle to start a 3 hour long movie is real! lately i've been telling myself that if i need to, i will watch half today and half tomorrow, just so i don't keep putting it off.

That's a good idea actually, I might tell myself that as well because I've definitely been putting it off! (even tho I do prefer watching movies in one sitting).

I haven't been to the cinema since Scream in January, but I booked tickets to see l'evenement on Monday, which includes a Q&A with director Audrey Diwan and so I am excited about that.

OP, did you ever get around to watching "Worst Person..."?

Oooh, love a good Q&A - hope you enjoy!!

And yes, I did, and I really liked it! [Spoiler (click to open)]It was way more heartbreaking than I expected, tbh - I spent the last twenty minutes of the film crying - but I thought Renate Reinsve and Anders Danielsen Lie were both so good. She's effortlessly charismatic, and he's good at getting under my skin even when I don't particularly like the character he's playing.

I thought parts of it were super relatable - not knowing what to do with your life, the heady rush you get from meeting a new person you click with - and the parts that weren't were still entertaining to watch. I don't think it's one I can rewatch a lot because the end is so heavy - his monologue, ugh - but I'm so glad I saw it.

I know some people said she was too much of a MPDG for their tastes, but it didn't feel that way to me; she just seemed to be a bit adrift in life with commitment issues. Not uncommon right now!

Yeah, I agree. I thought the last part of the movie was really well done but [Spoiler (click to open)]It was pretty bleak and I did miss the charm of the earlier parts of the film. The terminal illness and then the miscarriage and then the final gutpunch that her ex had a baby with someone else felt a little...unfair?

I started watching Pride and Prejudice and Zombies and I'm not into Darcy at all, it's not the only bad thing about the movie but it's an important one.

I'm also in the middle of Discovery of Witches season 3, it's not really keeping my interest... The first season was so good though.

I finally caught up with the latest jackass and omg what a delight! I’ve been a huge fan since the tv show and thought they did a perfect job of injecting new life while looking back at the same time. It was honestly so delightful and grotesque

Yesss I saw it too. The theatre was almost empty/ It was my husband and I, and then another woman seeing it alone a few rows behind us. I laughed sooooo much. More old man balls than I've ever seen.

Same! I was a little sad we didn’t get to see Johnny Knoxville’s dick but oh well lol. Our theatre was surprisingly packed? I was so surprised since it’s been out for a while now but it was pretty fun seeing it with a crowd

Does Blake encourage Ryan to work non-stop so she never has to deal with him?
