idk man. over the years, i have texted some embarrassing stuff that i wouldn’t want a lawyer to quote back at me on a court case out of all places, but i've never texted something like that. there’s no context that would make that sort of message appropriate. the whole “they’re private messages, its so uncomfortable and difficult to explain them to the public!” would work if they were about silly inoffensive things, not talking about killing a woman.

I mean, I think we all have terrible jokes/texts we share with friends from time to time...but this is something else. Like, they are so gross. This is beyond "locker room" talk or anything like that.
