i can't even remember the last movie i watched lol. maybe that til death movie megan fox was in... or if the first ep of jeen-yuhs counts i saw that, not sure if that's a tv series or a three part film? it's been mostly youtube for months now.

So I FINALLY finally finally got to watch The Worst Person in the World last night! While it has some issues, I really liked it overall. Renate Reinsve is so charismatic and engaging as a performer (and does not look as much like Dakota Johnson as everyone else seems to think she does!!), and Anders Danielson Lie was fantastic.

[Spoiler (click to open)]I could not stop crying for the last two chapters of the film, which I was not expecting at all, lol. While I don't have Julie's commitment issues, I am absolutely lost in terms of what to "do" with my life, so I related pretty hard to her in that regard. I think it tried to cover a little too much ground, and I wish Julie would have stayed the focus, but i know I will be thinking about it for a while. I don't know that I want to watch it again, though, because like I said, the last twenty+ minutes just killed me. His whole monologue, just... ugh.

We watched The King of Comedy (Hulu) for the first time the other night, and really liked that, too! It's super dark, but with a great sense of humor that makes ( ... )

I watched West Side Story on Tuesday, and it really was filmed beautifully. And y'all weren't kidding about Mike Faist, he was mesmerizing. Apart from the casting of that dullard creep Ansel, I'd call it an upgrade from the original, but I was never a big fan of the original.

I'm trying to power through Being the Ricardos and I...just...truly a putty-faced abomination of a movie.
