I really liked the Janet Jackson doco even tho it was a bit propaganda-ish. I wasn't really familiar with her work apart from the JT controversy and a few later songs.

Michael was definitely the real songwriting talent though.

i said it in my comment below, but the musical that was made with the permission of the estate literally takes place in 1992 so they don't have to address the 1993 court case and uses the song "they don't really care about us" to lambast the media. the show even kicked out a variety reporter who asked the cast questions about the abuse.
