I can't believe The King's Daughter is actually coming out. It's been EIGHT YEARS since it was supposed to be released. I honestly thought it would be stuck in limbo forever.

I'm hopefully seeing it Sunday. I can't wait. It looks absolutely wild. Also I learned that in 2020 the film was given an afterthought narration by Julie Andrews, which is always a good sign that a film is considered coherent to broad audiences. I wonder if it will be in the final film or not.

Also I remember 8 years ago I was going to read the book before I saw the movie, then I was like oh no I don't have time it's coming out so soon, then it got delayed and delayed and... I never did read the book. The author died in 2019, which feels bittersweet.

I'm intrigued about Simple Passion. I have read the book and really enjoyed it but Annie Ernaux's writing is very...introspective? I'm curious to see how they translate it to the screen.

the christian romance shit looks nauseating.

I find Jannis Niewöhner very very attractive. I'm not interested in the movie but I like the two leads so maybe I will watch.

My 1 year old son has CF and I cried watching the trailer for Salt in my Soul. Not sure I can handle the movie, but I think I'm gonna try.
