great post OP! i do, however, disagree with your decision for Ashlee. when u google her, even her wiki says (in the second sentence) she's jessica's younger sister. i'm not 100% convinced on Haylie, but you're right that it seems she's got her own niche that's separate and different from Hilary

Another reason I said yes is because she had a moment/era that was just about her. It was more fleeting but being anti-Jessica image and music wise gave her a place to be apart from her as an entity

Hmm I disagree with AJ because I think both of them are more famous when they're together. I'd also argue that AJ has also had higher profile gigs recently compared to Aly. Even thought it was cancelled, she still had her own show on ABC where she was the lead actress. The last major role that I can think of Aly having was as a side character on a CW show.

I don't disagree with this but AJ hasn't had that major high profile leading role moment to me? Still very famous and Catra is nothing to sneeze at but in comparison to Ashlee for example - who had a fleeting but notable era as her own entity - she to me is underrated?

Oh I agree with that, but I also think Aly's only really "big" role was in Phil of the Future. She was famous first and that's it. They both need each other. I don't think there's a sister who is less famous.

There was a period where I'd always hear her music in Taco Bells or McDonalds for some reason, so she at least had least had multiple hits in the fast food market in the US.
